If you are thinking about friends with benefits, then you are right, but not in a sexual way. Friendships are always formed based on having similar interests, whether we can "vibe" well, or the benefits we can gain.
Friendships are important because they make life more manageable, meaningful, and exciting. It can also be the opposite. Friends can make us feel stress, upset, and frustrated too. The idea that there is always more life to live because life is short may have its bad consequences to my health and life quality too. If you have not felt what it is like to feel left out and desperate to achieve everything you want in life before 30, then I applaude you because it comes with long-term consequences that may leave you filled with regret.
